Quick Start

  1. RecordOpen Studio and tap the red dome button. The VU meters show your level. Tap to pause.
  2. Correct with OVRSet toggle to OVR. Spin the jog wheel left to rewind to your mistake. Tap the dome and re-record. The new audio replaces the old from that point forward.
  3. Insert with INSSet toggle to INS. Position the playhead where you want to add content. Record. New audio splices in without removing anything.
  4. Save & ExportTap Stop → Save. Find it in the Files tab. Swipe left to delete or rename. Swipe right to export as WAV, TXT, or SRT.

Common Issues

  1. Microphone permission deniedGo to iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → enable SpokenAudio.
  2. Speech recognition not workingGo to iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Speech Recognition → enable SpokenAudio. An internet connection is not required — recognition is on-device.
  3. Seek audio not playingCheck Settings → Feedback → Seek audio feedback is toggled on. Oxide mode requires a recording to be loaded — open a file from the Files tab first.
  4. Trial expired — purchase not workingEnsure the App Store is signed into your Apple ID. Tap Restore Purchase if you've already paid. Contact us if the issue persists.
  5. Cannot find a saved recordingRecordings appear in the Files tab. Transcripts appear in the Transcripts tab. They are stored separately by design.

Privacy

SpokenAudio collects no personal data. All recordings, transcripts, and preferences are stored locally on your device in AES-256-GCM encrypted form. Nothing is transmitted to any server.
